I dont have tourettes but its the only thing i could relate to what happened... Last night i kept waking myself up because my arms kept throwing themselves up in the air.. it happened repeatedly through out the night I'd say 4-6 times.. and so one of the times it did it stayed awake because i became concerned.. and my arms kinda i wanna say "twitched" but it was more of a shake because i had the urge to do throw my arms up in the air .. and it started bothering me and didnt go away.. until my arms did it by their selves.. it was weird and unexplanable.. now note that i took amitrypaline 25 mlg for my insomnia disorder.. i took a little more than prescribed because i have built up a tolerance.. and i think its related to that but idk.. help?
S/O to @heysamd for being the best girlfriend ever. I love her to death and Im lucky shes mine. Even tho she has sleeping Tourettes/bedhogs
My daughter until recently use to sleep walk and eat, we'd find empty pretzel bags, cereal boxes, etc in her room and had no idea that she ate.
The only sleep-happening-thang I'm aware of now is that my 18 year old daughter has verbal fights (she cusses), her cousin refers to it as sleeping tourettes:).
I’ve been off work now for just over 3 months, diagnosed with ‘depression’, ‘stress’, ‘anxiety’ – whatever you want to call it. There are several names people attribute to my ‘illness’ ...
It’s 3.45am and I’ve just woken up shouting ‘garages’ in my sleep! That’s been happening a lot lately – I feel like I’ve got sleeping tourettes or something! I woke Simon, as I always do with my unexpected outbursts.
"I think I’m going to tell her. I mean what’s the worst that could happen right? I mean she could say that she has no idea where it came from and to not worry about it. She could say that she has some form of sleeping tourettes and that I should just ignore everything that comes out suddenly from her while she is asleep. Or she could say that she really does want to marry me and that she wants an answer right then and there."
Good points (see above)
Bad points....Sleeping tourettes.

I'm not a fan of his or Busted, but i think he has potential in this show to go quite far. What was that phrase he's coined already about David's snorning? 'Sleeping tourettes?' *lol* That has to be worth a view votes alone!

My Son said to me the other week “Mum,you were so funny last night”...”why,what did I do”I asked..he said I had been shouting and swearing in my sleep..I replied “what,I thought I had stopped doing that”...my hubby said are you kidding you are still at every week or so...Its just i haven't woken myself up in the middle of the night shouting out obscenities for awhile..sometimes i awake whilst still shouting and I cringe and think my neighbors must think i am arguing with my hubby or think even worse than that when he is away on the rigs..perhaps I have some kind of sleeping tourettes
Due to this mess, the flight actually left about an hour late. I switched seats with a very nice lady so that she could sit with her husband, and ended up sitting in the middle of a larger gentleman (I’m talking borderline 2 seater) with sleeping Tourettes (twitches) and a mildly snotty French woman who slept with her blanket over her head.

A friend of mine has what we like to call "Sleeping Tourettes". He cusses like a sailor in his sleep, sometimes to the point of screaming. It's really freaky to listen to.
As for a cure........JIZZ TRAP......*UNT LICKER........*SS MUNCHER........um, I don't know of any.

* this site has no reference to "sleepping tourettes", but has been referred to as such

I also used to fall asleep in some classes, and i woud get (what i called it) sleeping tourettes. I would twitch alot in my seat, and every time, EVERY time, right before i'd wake up, i'd grunt, yell, or just let out one loud "HA." That taught me not to sleep in class, i hate when everyone stares at me.

HAHAHA I've been known to yell swear words in my sleep like a cute, sleeping tourettes sufferer...and the hubby tries to tell jokes in jibberish and then laughs himself stupid - sometimes i only wake up to hear the punchline "And it was UNDER THE TABLE!!! HA HA HA HA" - so cute!

4. Most recently. A guy with sleeping tourettes is on the plane. Nobody knew until he started to fall asleep and then would start screaming. Found out because no one else would do anything about it until I asked the flight attendant to shut him up. Then she told me his condition. Felt bad for him but worse for everyone else on the plane. Lots of cranky people got off that flight.

If all your friends and family jumped off a bridge, does that mean you have to? Have you been so oppressed in your life you can punch out anyone for a simple word? And while we're at it, whats with the "a man can only take so much"? theme? This thread began about a group of thugs, be they white or black is inconsequenstial, beating up one sleeping white guy. Sure, maybe the guy had sleeping tourettes, but does he deserve a pipe to the head?
